Fundraising Requirement

Q: Do I have to fundraise my minimum in order to receive a race entry?
A: Yes. Your minimum fundraising commitment must be met by January 11, 2019 in order to receive entry into the Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend. If you do not meet your minimum fundraising commitment by January 11, the credit card you have on file with us will be charged the remaining balance in the days following the deadline.

Q: How do I raise funds?
A: When you register to run with CMN Hospitals during the 2019 Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend, you will receive an email with a link to your personal fundraising page. When raising funds online, you must use this personal fundraising page in order to receive credit for your donations. If you raise funds offline, see below.

Q: What do I do with offline donations?
A: For security reasons, we highly recommend you not mail cash. Instead, please either 1) obtain and send a money order or cashiers check to the address below or 2) deposit the cash and donate the amount to yourself via your personal fundraising page. Checks and matching donations must be mailed to our CMN Hospitals national office at:

PLEASE NOTE: The Miracle Maker's first and last name as well as Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend must accompany the offline donation for you to receive credit for it. Once our Accounting Department receives your offline donation, they will credit the amount to your personal fundraising page. This could take anywhere from two weeks to six months for our team to process.

Q: What if CMN Hospitals has not received the offline donation I mailed in by January 11?
A: If you have not seen your offline donation credited to your personal fundraising page after January 1, 2019, add the funds you are expecting to receive credit for as an offline donation on your fundraising page. Then, notify CMN Hospitals staff of the funds that are on their way. Be sure to include your name, the donor's name, the date the offline donation was mailed, the amount, and the check number (if applicable) in your email.

Q: Where do the funds I am raising actually go?
A: Children's Miracle Network Hospitals is the presenting sponsor and celebratory charity of the Disney Princess Half Marathon weekend.  Funds raised by Miracle Makers support CMN Hospitals' operations. For every dollar supporting our operating budget, we are able to turn it into $10 in donations to our local member hospitals that use the funds where they're needed most. 

Q: Is it possible to fundraise as a team?
A: It is not possible to fundraise as a team. Each individual receiving a race bib must individually fundraise their minimum fundraising requirement.

Q: What support can I expect to receive from CMN Hospitals throughout my journey as a Miracle Maker?
A: From the moment you register to run with CMN Hospitals during the 2019 Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend, you can expect to see consistent communication including our monthly Miracle Maker Newsletter and our Miracle Makers Facebook Page. We care deeply about engaging our Miracle Makers with CMN Hospitals, Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend and our Miracle Maker community!

Q: If questions arise, how can I get in touch with my CMN Hospitals support person?
A: If, after checking the FAQ page and looking through the tools and resources provided to you by CMN Hospitals staff, you still cannot find the answer to your question, we encourage you to email us at princesshalf@cmnhospitals.org. We will respond to your email at our earliest convenience! 

Q: What if I need help fundraising?
A: We recommend connecting with other Miracle Makers via the Miracle Maker Facebook Page as well as utilizing the tools and resources provided to you in the Files section of the Facebook Page to learn fundraising best practices.

Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend

Q: How does my registration information provided to CMN Hospitals get to runDisney? 
A. When you have made significant progress toward your minimum fundraising commitment, having raised $500, you will be eligible to register through runDisney’s registration system, notifying runDisney of your participation and providing them with your information to generate your bib. 

Q: How soon after I reach $500 will I receive my link?
A: Your link is not automatically generated once your cross the $500 fundraising threshold. Our team dispatches registration links twice a month - We appreciate your patience. You will receive an email directly with your runDisney registration link. You must register using the link provided to participate in the 2019 Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend.

Q: Now that I have registered with CMN Hospitals for the 2019 Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend, how do I proceed with making travel arrangements and planning my time at Walt Disney World®?
A: CMN Hospitals is thrilled to announce that we've chosen to partner with Moments of Magic Travel as the official Race Weekend Travel Provider for our Miracle Makers! This is a great benefit for our Miracle Makers. You'll have the opportunity to work with members of their team who have tremendous experience and insight to share.

To get the process started, complete this form as soon as possible after registering to be a Miracle Maker with CMN Hospitals. Moments of Magic Travel can assist you by booking:

  • Resort Accommodations at a Walt Disney World® Value, Moderate, or Deluxe Resort. Pricing is determined by resort and number of guests. Please note that the Walt Disney World Resort availability will be limited for the Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend, therefore we encourage you to book early! 
  • Magic Your Way® Tickets.
  • Disney Dining Plan.

You will be required to pay a $200 deposit at the time of booking. The balance of your package must be received 30 days prior to your arrival.

The team at Moments of Magic Travel is available to answer any questions you may have regarding resort selection, requirements, travel info, and general registration information. Please don't hesitate to call them direct at the number listed on the registration form. You may also take advantage of a new feature we are offering on the Miracle Makers Facebook Page, Travel Tuesday. On Tuesdays, Moments of Magic Travel will share travel best practices on Miracle Makers on Facebook and be available to answer questions.   

Although Miracle Makers are not required to book through Moments of Magic Travel, we encourage you to pursue this opportunity.  Not only will their experience and expertise make your travel planning a breeze, Moments of Magic Travel has generously committed to donating 50% of their profits from the Miracle Maker's package bookings directly to CMN Hospitals!

Q: Where do I pick up my race packet? 
A: Please visit the runDisney website for complete information on the Expo as well as packet pick-up. It is VERY important you take the Expo and packet pick-up into consideration when creating your travel plans. All runners must attend the Expo for race number, shirt & gEAR bag pick up.

Q: How do I get to the Expo and the start line from my resort? How do I get back to my resort after I cross the finish line?
A: Please visit the runDisney website for complete information on transportation during race weekend. 

Q: What opportunities will I have to meet Miracle Makers during Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend?
A: There are MANY opportunities for you to meet fellow Miracle Makers during race weekend!

  • Expo: All runners must attend the Expo for race number, shirt & gEAR bag pick up. The Expo is headquarters for everything race weekend. We look forward to seeing your smiling faces at the CMN Hospitals booth at the expo! This is a great place to meet CMN Hospitals staff as well as your fellow Miracle Makers! Our booth features a wall with Miracle Makers' names on it, cheer cards you can fill out for your friends running and Instagram-worth photo opps!
  • Miracle Morning Breakfast: Each 2019 Miracle Maker will receive a special invitation for themselves and a guest to attend the “Miracle Morning” breakfast hosted by CMN Hospitals for our runners on Saturday of race weekend at Epcot. More information on this to come!
  • Charity Row Tent: On the morning of the Disney Princess Half Marathon, CMN Hospitals will host a gathering spot for Miracle Makers before the race begins. Make plans to stop by, relax and prepare for the 13.1-mile party that lies ahead of you! We'll have a few snacks as well to help sustain you on your journey. The tent will open at 3 am and remain open until it is time to move to the start line. All group tents are located past the security checkpoint toward the gEAR Bag Check area.
